Alltech meta-analysis: Enhancing the performance, livability and environmental sustainability of broiler production
Alltech has released data from a new meta-analysis, published in Poultry Science, that demonstrates the impacts of mycotoxins on broiler productivity and the positive effect of yeast cell wall extract (YCWE, Mycosorb®, Alltech, Inc., KY) supplementation during a mycotoxin challenge on the performance, livability and environmental sustainability of broiler production. The first study of its kind within the mycotoxin category, the meta-analysis consists of 25 studies carried out across 11 countries with a total of 10,307 birds.

Managing the East Coast Animal Feed Mycotoxin Challenge
The Mycotoxin Management team released a new video testimonial and blog about Alltech’s work with Poulin Grain. Based in Newport, Vermont, Poulin Grain serves a wide range of customers throughout the eastern U.S. and Canada.
As a great advocate for our proactive approach to mycotoxin management, Poulin Grain was the perfect candidate for an informative testimonial video. A huge thank you to the whole team involved in making this project a success.

Causing a wide variety of health issues, mycotoxins pose a serious threat to the productivity and profitability of even the best run animal production systems.
This new video highlights Alltech's mycotoxin management programme, which combines wide ranging laboratory-based testing with Alltech 37+ and Alltech RAPIREAD, giving producers both flexibility and accuracy in understanding their mycotoxin problem.

Alltech Feed Mill Workshop: Sustainability, Education & More

Managing the Mycotoxin Risk in Lower Quality Ingredients
Are feed and livestock producers powerless when managing the potential risks from mycotoxins when using lower-quality grains or byproducts? They do not have to be, and although mycotoxins cannot be eliminated completely, some steps can be taken that can help to mitigate the mycotoxin challenge. Learn more about managing the mycotoxin risk.
Enhancing Broiler Productivity and Environmental Sustainability
As the livestock industry tries to limit its environmental footprint, increasing evidence points to the role that nutritional solutions can play in meeting such targets.
Since Alltech was founded in the 1980s, it has been a pioneer of mycotoxin research, with over 170 peer-reviewed studies published to date, detailing a robust, multi-faceted exploration of mycotoxins’ impact on animal systems and their remediation.

Meet the Alltech Mycotoxin Management Team!
Chloe Chisholm, Digital Marketing Specialist
Originally from Surrey, I moved close to Stamford in March 2022 after accepting a job at Alltech on the Mycotoxin Management team, as a digital marketing specialist. I didn’t know much about mycotoxins then, but I was excited to learn, and I have certainly learnt a lot since!
My grandad was a dairy farmer, and although he is no longer with us, it feels like a lovely familial connection that my mum certainly enjoys. She loves to talk about all things cows, often asking if I’ve got any projects going on that she can get involved with and she is without a doubt the Mycotoxin Matters podcast’s number one fan.
I also have a keen interest in sustainability, and Alltech’s Planet of Plenty vision really stands out. In a previous role, I worked on developing a sustainability podcast that focused on sustainability and the challenges of becoming more sustainable within the construction industry. Continuing to look at sustainability through the lens of agriculture is so interesting to me and I have a new appreciation for the huge role that this industry plays in creating a sustainable future.
As a self-confessed book worm, my love of reading and writing lead me to study English language and literature at the University of Brighton, where I obtained a first-class honours degree.
Outside of work, I can either be found nose-deep in a book, baking very calorie-dense goodies, or getting lost on long walks with my dog, Kobe.
At the beginning of October, the Mycotoxin Matters podcast reached another milestone, by surpassing 5,000 downloads! Since achieving this, the podcast has continued to perform really well, and the total downloads now stands at over 6,200. Thank you to everyone who has listened to the podcast and continues to support us.
Here's to the next milestone!
